Nos finais de ano gosto sempre do exercício contrário: imaginar-me, cada vez mais, como criança. Sei que pode soar estranho, mas faço isso para ter um respiro de sanidade em meio ao mundo louco, pois só elas sabem viver o presente com a reverência que ele merece. Desde então, a infância me ensinou a parar com os projetos de ano novo. Já viu uma criança preocupada com o futuro? Acho que não… E se encontrou, certamente ela está em sofrimento. É preciso ajudá-la.

Crianças são especialistas do contemporâneo. Elas, sabiamente, desconhecem outro tempo. Vivem atualizando o ócio com a altivez de um Sêneca. Lógico que a família, a escola e o mundo corporativo tentam adoecê-la. Mesmo assim elas resistem! Há que amadurecer, mas sem a infância jamais! Por isso que esse negócio de foco, business plan, alinhamento astral e brilho no olho não é coisa de gente madura, mas de quem acabou apodrecendo mesmo. Quer sorte nas festas de final de ano? Passe ao lado da gurizada. Aí sim você entra com o pé direito! Ou esquerdo… Tanto faz seu posicionamento político, pois isso para elas também não é lá muito importante, elas veem o mundo e as pessoas para além dessas dicotomias.

Não está convencido? Aí vai mais um motivo… as pessoas mais legais da festa estarão ao lado delas: o tio bêbado que tira a dentadura quando ninguém vê e a coloca na mão para assustar a molecada; a vizinha empolgada que, ao passar da meia noite, incorpora a pomba gira dançando ao som de Bee Gees com o copo de espumante na mão; o avô mentiroso que decide mostrar a cicatriz da antiga cirurgia de vesícula, contando a assustadora história do safari na África e seu encontro com o leão; a tia que decide pegar um balão e fazer um futebolzinho ali mesmo, utilizando as mesas como gol e o bolo com calda de chocolate como troféu… O quê? Nunca passou a virada de ano com gente assim? Você estava em uma festa ou um funeral? Afinal, como nos lembra Nietzsche, o homem só chega à sua maturidade quando encara a vida com a mesma seriedade que uma criança encara uma brincadeira.

O que dá azar mesmo, no final de ano, é passar ao lado de gente sisuda, daquele povo que vai discutir política e acabar com a festa, ou vai começar a reparar na roupa daqueles que não se vestiram com o restolho estético de Miami e estão, simplesmente, buscando menos composição social para viver. Se quer sorte mesmo, não passe ao lado do primo que vai conversar sobre suas metas anuais no CrossFit, ou sobre como ser um milionário escolhendo se tornar um Day Trader na escavação de criptomoedas. Aí vai uma dica: coloque a Alexa ao lado deles e seja feliz!

É por isso que, na virada de ano, desejo que você encontre em sua festa aquele bando de crianças que, tal qual um exército napoleônico, vai destruindo todo o azar e mal humor de 2021. Afinal, só elas entendem do presente, da motivação e do momento. E aqui, fica uma dica de Platão: podemos facilmente perdoar uma criança que tem medo do escuro; a real tragédia é quando os homens têm medo da luz.
